... Fibre Optics: A Metaphor for Life
In the 1970's and again at the turn of the millennium there was a novelty lamp, which looked like a fountain of fibre optic filaments. The light from the bottom, created pinpricks of light at the ends of the slender strands, like a spray of stars. I was reminded of those early memories when I first saw one.
